Navigation Aids

Where applicable, each page has relative links for the sitemap, home, next, previous and parent pages, to aid navigation in text-only browsers and assistive technologies. Netscape 6+, Mozilla and Opera users can also take advantage of this feature by selecting to show/hide the Navigation Bar from the View menu.

Contextual Help

All acronyms and abbreviations have a contextual description of their meaning the first time they appear on the page. Unusual and uncommon terms also have contextual help. Where this applies, the text is underlined, and holding the mouse over the word will display its meaning in a tooltip.

Visual Design

This site uses cascading style sheets for visual layout. This site uses only relative font sizes, compatible with the user-specified text size option in visual browsers. If your browser or browsing device does not support stylesheets at all, the content of each page is still readable.

All pages on this site are WCAG AA approved, complying wih all priority 1 and 2 guidelines of the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. All pages on this site validate as XHTML 1.0 Strict. All pages use structured semantic markup: H1 tag is used for the site title; H2 tags for main titles; H3 tags for subtitles.
