First Aid at Work. (FAW) :: Appointed person (4-hours) Complies with HSE Guidance.

Appointed Person is a short course (half-day 4 hours), in emergency first aid procedures.

It is designed to introduce the lay person to re-active first aid skills, which may need to be used quickly.

This course meets the minimum recommendations of the Health and Safety Executive for Appointed Persons in the workplace.

Course covers;

Be advised first aid training for Appointed persons is not compulsory it is voluntary. However, if some-one is appointed to take charge in an emergency, then it would be useful to have some basic first aid training.

If a hazard assessment of your workplace, shows training is required, then you MUST be booking people onto either EFAW Emergency First Aid at Work (1 day / 6 contact hours) (from 01 Oct 2009) or the full, FAW First Aid at Work (3-days /18 contact hours) (from 01 Oct 2009).
