Member of the ITC Network
Unit 1: Outdoor First Aid- Emergency Action, is aimed at those working in outdoor and remote environments or undertaking outdoor/adventurous activities. It exceeds the recommendations for the current Appointed Person. It will also exceed the 2009 Emergency First Aid at Work qualification (EFAW).
As the first aid is intended for outdoor/adventurous activities, we will spend time indoors and outdoors undertaking practical exercises.
The training course will cover the following:
Prioritisation exercises and reviews
Introduction to Illness
Outdoor first aid kits and safety equipment
The course duration is a minimum 8 hours or 1 day.
Suitable for Duke of Edinburgh Award participants and members of outdoor activity clubs, forestry workers, estate workers, environmental scientists etc.
