Biker First Aid Course dates 2006 ? Update.

New dates for the ITC Biker First Aid Courses are now available on the news page under general course dates for 2006.

There is a new 2 day course for Adventure Riders and Overseas Tourers.
Non residential fee is £99.

We have accommodation lists for the area including camp-sites, youth hostels, B&B, Guest Houses and Hotels.

The course is now officially recognised and supported by MAG, the BMF and the IAM, (members get 10% discount).

OGRI Ltd, Some Constabulary Bike Safe Schemes, Motorcycle UK Ltd who produce the 'Hats off' Helmet Removal Device, and the Dept. of Transports THINK campaign, (who distributed information at their trailer at the BSB Series in 2005).

Course covers:
Mechanism of injury.
Safety and scene preservation.
Emergency rescue moves.
Vital signs how to read them and why.
ABCDE systems first aid.
Opening airways.
Spinal injury management.
Bleeding.
Shock.
Helmet removal, when and how.

Course will include practical exercises in bike kit so please bring it along if not arriving by bike.

Certificates achieved are valid for 3 years at present.
