Motorcyclist First Aid course to have National Launch

On the 08 January we ran our pilot course for motorcyclists first aid which was attended by the local ROSPA affiliated motorcycle observers group. The course was a resounding success, voted by those attending as a first aid course by bikers for bikers. A press release was put out from the County Road Safety Unit, as Nigel Murray the County Road Safety Advisor for motorcyclists attended the course himself, as did 2 members of Severn Advanced Motorcyclists. As result of the positive feed back received, a second course to tweak some of the content from the first will run on 06 March, at the Viney Hill outdoor centre, near Lydney just off the A48. The course will also be showcased at the launch of the National Bike Safe campaign at Cheltenham race course on 02/03 April, and will include demonstrations, and sale of a bikers first aid kit and first aid manual which will support the course.
