New Paediatric first aid training guidance.

Change for schools, and those working with under 8's, from September 2008.

From September 2008, all organisations working with children under the age of eight, require a member of staff on site, who has a valid Paediatric First Aid qualification.
A Paediatric First Aid qualification is also required by OFSTED for all primary schools, nurseries and early years providers.

This was set out in the EYFS Statutory Framework earlier this year.

Therefore schools not only require a member of staff with a First Aid at Work qualification, but additionally one on duty with a Paediatric qualification.

The Paediatric First Aid course focuses heavily on dealing with child and infant first aid, and is run over 12 hours.

Rubicon First Aid Ltd provide the ITC certified 12 hour course.

This course is widely recognised by by local authorities as an appropriate course. Additionally meeting both NCMA and PLA standards.

We also provide First Aid at Work training primarily through our training partner, Stroud College and First Aid for School Staff which is an emergency first aid course designed to be run on an INSET day.
