First Aid At Work

First Aid at Work is designed to enable employers and organisations to meet their Health and Safety obligations for the provision of first aid to employees. This duty of care can be extended to members of the public who are on the employers premises.

First Aid at Work (24 hours) is the current initial qualifying course, or for those who certificates have lapsed.

First Aid at Work Refresher is the 12 hour current refresher course, which revalidates the First Aid at Work qualification. Ideally this should be completed within 3 years of the the 4 day course or previous refresher. However there is a period of 28 days grace at the end of the 3 year period to allow refresher training to take place. If re-training is not completed in this 28 day extension period then the full 24 hour course must be undertaken again.

Appointed Persons training is alevel below the full first aider at work qualification and is for those who work in low risk environments or small organisations. The HSE recommnedatios for the Appointed Person (AP) can usually be met by attending a half or one day course. Please contact us to discuss your requirements if not sure.

Emergency Action 8 Hours-For Appointed Person

8 hour course in emergency action first aid, meeting reqts for the current "Appointed Person", normally with additional time for client specific reqts.

Emergency Action Short course

Emergency Action First Aid, is a half day (4 hour) course in emergency first aid procedures. It provides an introduction to Emergency First Aid. Meets the minimum recommendations from HSE for the current Appointed Person.

First Aid at Work

The First Aid at Work initial qualifying course is delivered over 24 contact hours, and includes an independent assessment covering theory and practice before completion. Students will be taught and assessed in both primary and secondary care skills, treatment of workplace medical emergencies and basic health and safety regulations.

First Aid at Work Refresher

The HSE First Aid at Work Refresher course must be undertaken within 3 years of the intial course and is conducted over 2 days OR 12 contact hours. The expiring certificate should be in date for both days of the refresher course, however exemptions from this are now possible, please contact us for specific details.
