First Aid for small event cover

For small community groups and event organisers, who instead of paying to obtain event cover, may consider training their own first aiders to be able to provide their own cover. Distinct and different from first aid at work, the context, decisions and recording of events is quite different to the workplace. Includes managemant of incidents in crowded confined areas, dealing with aggressive casualties (drink/drugs), recording treatments given, casualties who refuse treatment, cleaning up process and disposal of bio hazard, suggestions for regular practice programmes, support for first aiders who deal with stressful circumstances, first aid treatments which may vary from that which is covered by first aid at work.

Course is 18 contact hours run over 3 days (often 1 day per week) or equal evening slots.
