Sports First Aid

Sports First Aid is a first aid training programme for recreational athletes or sports groups and associations and sports coaches.

This course features numerous sports-related scenarios and information, and can be aimed at football, rugby, athletics, volleyball, racket sports, marshal arts and more.

Students will learn the necessary skills for responding efficiently to an ill or injured athlete prior to the arrival of the Emergency Services, includes SALTAPS and Maddox questions to assess return to play/activity decisions.

Their are 7 and 14 hour options for this course, all awarded by Awarding Body ITC with certificates of Comptence. Course content has been designed by sport professionals and Sporting Bodies.

For those who require just "some" first aid training without a full certificate of competence their is a 4 hour intensive option normally run over a morning or afternoon or 2 x 2 hour evenings, but all in a sport related context and focused on sports related illness and injury. A certificate of attendance is awarded for this course by ITC

ITC First Aid for Sport.

1 or 2 day course (7 or 14 hours) developing first aid skills and knowledge relevant for sports situations.

Designed for arenas, coaches, individual players, team settings, adventure, gym settings, and water settings.

ITC First Aid for Sport.

1 day course (7 hours). This course covers the first unit, of a 2 unit award.

Designed to meet the needs of the recreational athlete, personal fitness trainer, evening class instructor or amateur sports person.

These courses when completed, build into a level 2 award in first aid for sport.
