Sports First Aid

Sports First Aid is a first aid training programme for recreational athletes or sports people and sports coaches.

This course features numerous sports-related scenarios and information, and can be aimed at football, rugby, athletics, volleyball, racket sports, marshal arts and more.

Students will learn the necessary skills for responding efficiently to an ill or injured athlete prior to the arrival of the Emergency Services.

Their are 7 and 14 hour options for this course. All courses meet or exceed the current HSE recommendations for the Appointed Person in the workplace.

Unit 1 (7 hours) and unit 2 (total 14 hours) add up to a level 2 qualification in First Aid for Sport on the National Qualification Framework (NQF).

ITC First Aid for Sport.

1 or 2 day course (7 or 14 hours) developing first aid skills and knowledge relevant for sports situations.

Designed for arenas, coaches, individual players, team settings, adventure, gym settings, and water settings.

1 day course (7 hours). This course covers the first unit, of a 2 unit award.

Designed to meet the needs of the recreational athlete, personal fitness trainer, evening class instructor or amateur sports person.

These courses when completed, build into a level 2 award in first aid for sport.
